LSG won the toss and elected to bowl first and invited CSK to put the total on board first.CSK openers started brilliantly with both Rituraj Gaikwad and Conway scoring quick runs in the powerplay.Rituraj scored his yet another half century 57(31) and put up a partnership of 110 runs for the first wicket with Conway.Conway also scored 47(9) balls.CSK lost thgeir first wicket in form Rituraj by Ravi Bishnoi in the 10th over.Conway also got out in the 11th over by Mark Wood.Shivam Dube who came first down also scored at good strike rate and made 27(16) balls who hit three sixes included th1 102m six over long on.Moeen also made quick 19(13) balls.
Ravi Bishnoi took Shivam Dube in 14th over when CSK were 150, and Moeen Ali when CS were 166 in sixteen overs.Rayudu made quick fire 27(14) balls and remained not out.Dhoni also scored 12(3) runs hitting 2 sixes in first two balls and the whole stadium erupted in joy seeing their captain start his inning with sixes.
CSK reached 217 runs in 20 overs .Wonderful batting display by CSK. The decision of LSG opting to bowl did not worked to KL Rahul’s expectations.
LSG Batting
LSG in reply started even better with, Mayers and Rahul reaching to score of 79 in 5.2 overs. Mayers got out in sixth over off Moeen but made quickfire 53(22. This was the wicket CSK were looking for. KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda both got out quickly at Same score of LSG at 82.Santner took Hooda cheaply. Moeen Ali’s three quick wickets of ensured CSK were back in game and with a captain like Dhoni you would expevt this to happen.LSG were 4 wickets down in 10 overs.
Marcus Stoinis 21(18), Nicholas Pooran 32(18), Ayush Badoni 23(18), Krishnappa Gowtham 17(11), Mark wood 10(3) all contributed and scored sun a ball.They took LSG pass

CSK posted big total of 217 owing to good batting by Mayers and Pooran. LSG chase started well were they reached obove 70 in the sixth over.But good bowling by Moeen pulled the game back for CSK and at the end CSK won by 12 runs. LSG loose four quick wickets and lost the track in chase of 217.
