Welcome Cricket Lovers to the opening match1 of IPL 2023. Gujrat Titans won the toss and elected to bowl first against CSK. Mohammaed Shami started with great line and length and his seam position is always exceptional. Shami bowled Conway in his second over.The new bowler Mr. Little was under pressure and got hit for 15 runs in first over. Shami came back for 3rd over but went for 20 runs. GT needed a wicket and Hardik brought the magician bowler Rashid Khan . He did not disappoint Hardik and took Moin Ali who was looking in very good form .Moin khan made 23(17) and he was hitting well till the time Rashid Khan came in and took his wicket , caught behind the stumps.Ben Stokes walks in. CSK reached 51-2 after 6 overs.
Gaikwad continue to bat superbly and sent the ball over the rope so often. Rashid Khan came for his second over and took Ben stokes cheaply and CSK were 72-3 after 8 overs. Rayudu came in to bat. On the other side Gaikwad was looking sublime and delaing only in sixes. He made his first 50of IPL 2023 in just 23 balls. What a great start for Rituraj Gaikwad for IPL 2023. After 11 overs CSK touched 100 for loss of 3 wickets.Rayudu and Rituraj were going well until Little bowled Rituraj in the 13th over. Shivam Dube walks on to the crease.At strategic time out CSK were 121/4(13 overs).GT bowling good after strategic time out, gave just 12 runs in next two overs. CSK scored (51-2 ) in 1 -6 overs , and (82-2) 7-15 overs , thanks to Rituraj awesome sixes before time out.But, GT kept on bowling good lines and Shivam Dube failed to get quick runs adding pressure on Rituraj .He was eventually taken by Alzarri Joseph on 92 in just 50 balls.A wonderful innings from Gaikwad come to an end . Jadega who came in went cheaply in same over . Joseph double strikes and that means Dhoni (Thala) joins the party for first time in TATA IPL2023 for CSK.
Last two overs of CSK batting and CSK needed few boundaries. Shivam Dube hits one over the rope in 19th over but gets out in the next bowl playing similar short over Shami’s well directed short bowl.CSK in 20th over and Dhoni on crease did not disappoint his fans, hits a six and a boundary. CSK finishes at 178-7 in 20 overs thanks to splendid batting by Rituraj.Gujrat Titans needed179 runs to win this match.
GT Batting
GT required 179 to win. Saha and Gill came on to bat . They gave GT a good start and GT were 23 after 3 overs with couple of boundaries from Gaikwad and Gill. Saha made 25(16 balls) but finally got out to Hangargekar. Sai Sudharsan ( impact players) walks in. Shubahm and Sudharshan were batting well , hitting regular boundaries and reached 82-2 at 8 overs at strategic time out. Sudharshan got out by Hangargekar on 22(17 balls). Hardik joined in and was looking good but was bowled by Jadeja who was bowling well for CSK.GT were 111-3 (12.1 overs) and CSK slowly getting into the game.Shankar came in and was going well with Gill who was batting superbly and made 63(36) bowls before he gets dimissed by Tushar Deshpande. Tewatia joins in but GT are not far behind . Score reads GT 138-4 after 15 Overs, GT can win it, they have to keep it simple and hit boundaries in between. Match became intresting and GT needs 30 of 18 balls at run rate of 10 per over.Rashids khan hits 10 in 2 balls to tilt the match back in favour of GT. GT needs 8 runs in 6 balls and Tewatia finishes it off with six and a four. GT wins the first match of IPL 2023 convincingly.

Match Analysis
Riruraj batted superbly for CSK as a result CSK reached 178-7 in 20 overs . GT did well in middle overs to restrict CSK to 178. GT performed better in powerplay as compared to CSK .Subham Gill played really well for GT. GT kept on batting at good rate and finally won the match convincingly , thanks to cameo from Shankar,Rashid and Tewatia at the last to make sure GT starts with a win.
